On 2000, the United Nations declared December 18 as International Migrants Day, taking into account the large and increasing number of migrants in the world. The World Migration Report 2022 from UN Migration states that approximately 281 million people are international migrants living in a country other than their country of birth.

Migrazine has been fighting for the development of basic conditions that can contribute to the participation and articulation of migrants as protagonists and actors in the media. For this occasion, we have made a special selection of articles debating the definition, struggles, and effects of some of the diverse experiences of migration.
